Introducing the Jewish Literary Supplement
By Paul Zakrzewski
The National Foundation for Jewish Culture
is proud to announce the new Jewish Literary Supplement channel on
Jbooks.com!
Since 2001, the Supplement has focused on outstanding new fiction,
memoir and poetry. Moreover, the Supplement has aimed to connect readers
to the best in new Jewish books, and to make these books and authors accessible
to both large and small communities across the country.
Thanks to our collaboration with Jbooks.com, we are able to make the Supplement
available to an even broader readership. Here you’ll find links to some of the
best articles we’ve published over the past few years. And stay tuned for more.
Beginning in November, you’ll find all the original content of the upcoming
2006 Supplement available for viewing.
This year’s edition aims to be an indispensable tool for Jewish book clubs as
never before. In addition to excerpts and essays, we’ll be adding such features
as a discussion on how to run a successful book club, and how new technology
such as blogs and podcasts are changing the way readers and writers connect.
And we’ll be featuring coverage of the revamped Koret
International Jewish Book Awards, hosted by Jewish Family & Life and
the National Foundation for Jewish Culture.
Aimed at “book groups of one or more,” the Supplement has become an
indispensable tool for book clubs and other discussion groups. Published each
November, it is distributed to more than 250,000 households as an insert in
leading Anglo-Jewish newspapers such as the Jewish Journal of Los
Angeles and the New York Jewish Week. Please contact the editor if you’re interested
in more information or would like to be part of the upcoming print publication.
